Vic: Two die in head-on crash
Two men are dead and another's critically injured .. following a head-on collision
in Melbourne's south-west.
Police say the collision occurred on the Maltby Bypass near Werribee .. about 2.45 this morning.
The driver and passenger in the Melbourne-bound vehicle died as a result of the accident.
The 19-year-old male driver of the other car was airlifted to the Royal Melbourne Hospital
with critical head, chest and abdominal injuries.
All inbound lanes of the Princes Freeway near Duncans Road are closed.
Motorists are being diverted through Werribee and advised to expect delays.
Police estimate the roads will reopen around 9 am.
The accident brings Victoria's annual road toll to 36 .. the same as this time last year.
