NSW: Sydney Ferries to remain in public hands
New South Wales Premier KRISTINA KENEALLY says Sydney Ferries will remain in public hands.
The premier says the decision's been made after consultation with the community revealed
a strong desire for the government to retain control of the service.
A new service agreement will be signed with Sydney Ferries in the first quarter of next year.
The decision's been made despite an inquiry two years ago recommending a private operator
be appointed.
