A DIMIA spokeswoman said the medical and psychiatric care of people in detention werealready reviewed by external bodies, making a further review by RANZCP unnecessary.
These included the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR) and the HumanRights and Equal Opportunity Commission (HREOC) and a federal parliamentary committee.
