NSW: Carr defends overseas travel
New South Wales Premier BOB CARR has defended his extensive overseas travel program,
saying it's necessary to promote the state to the world, in the wake of the Sydney Olympics.
Mr CARR says there's a six-month opportunity after the September event to sell the
state as a place to invest.
He says he's been to New York, China, the Davos forum and Italy, in a vigorous one-off
promotion of NSW, which is now complete.
